●我深深感覺到，身為一位女性學者與社會運動者，Bell Hooks是一位特別致力從經驗出發而邁向理性論述的作者，他對自我經驗的珍視與分析能力，不但是主體開啟「自覺」的關鍵，在女性主義被「理論化」（男性化）的學術場域中顯得獨樹一幟，保有著自我批判與踰越二元論的視野。

●Bell Hooks這段話還讓我聯想到以前看過的一張照片（右圖），出自《女性研究自學讀本》（Joy Magezis著，何穎怡譯），汽車廣告看板上寫著：「如果這輛車是個女人，你也會想捏一下它的屁股」，抗議者卻漆上：「如果這輛車是個女人，她會碾斃你」還以顏色。
